Our aim is to empower families to help themselves, and so lay the foundation for a strong independent community. We believe in developing the capacity of key community members through treatment, training and capacity building

The Board and staff of Empilweni subscribe to the following principles and values:

- Good mental health care comprises promotion, prevention, evidence-based treatment, and rehabilitation.
